My deepest condolences for your loss. I was privileged to have spent time with Peter on many PFCC committees and very much enjoyed working with him. He was always so kind, caring and considerate, taking the time to ask about others. He brought much to the meetings and helped to improve health care. He will be missed.
Peter played an important part in both the ER and ICU departments assisting with program development and also a convener for our ICU volunteer team. He was always a pleasure to have at the office to visit from time to time and he will be missed.
Dear Sarah and Christina,
We are saddened by the loss of your father and my cousin. I have many fond and humerus memories of Peter growing up in the Jones family. Bob and I saw your Dad every fall for lunch and a long afternoon visit when we were at the lake. I will keep those special memories in my heart as a remembrance of him. Take care and big hugs. Susan
I got to know Peter and enjoyed working with him for a number of years through his volunteer work as a Public Member on our Interior Health Person and Family Centred Care Steering Committee. Peter was always focused, thoughtful, professional and so pleasant to be around; he inspired me to work more deliberately with others to continue to ensure that patients are seen as a whole person and put at the centre of their care and decision making. Even over the past two years, when we couldn’t meet in person he always showed up virtually at our meetings; he was always prepared to keep moving the work forward. I know that our committee, and many others who he has worked with as a volunteer with over the years, will miss him and celebrate his contributions. I’d like to offer my condolences to his family and friends at this time.
I had the opportunity to work with Peter through the Interior Health Person and Family Centred Care Steering Committee. He was someone who cared about others. He was kind, friendly and polite. I really enjoyed working with him. It’s been a few years since I worked with him, but I time to time thought – “I wonder how Peter is…” He made people feel comfortable and close. I am very sad to hear your loss. He was loved by so many. Rest in peace, Peter – I miss you.
I went to University with Peter & Sue, I believe I introduced them. He & I also spent time on Hanford Farms with Brian Waller. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great fellow.
