We Remember
MILLS, Jaimie Rae
February 18, 1983 — January 19, 2020
With grieving hearts, we announce the passing of our daughter, sister, and aunt, Jaimie Rae Mills at age 36. Born in Chilliwack, BC on February 18, 1983, Jaimie passed away peacefully at Kelowna General Hospital Sunday, January 19, 2020. She leaves behind her loving family: her parents Cliff and Shelly Mills; her sister Kelsey Canning and brother Geoff Mills; and her grandfather Parker Mills; as well as her cats Sebastian, Charlie, and Kirby. She was predeceased by her grandmothers Marie Harrison and Chris Robertson.
After graduating in 2001 from Pleasant Valley Secondary school, her intense love of animals led her to become a certified dog groomer. Jaimie was kind and generous and loved her friends and family. She enjoyed photography, music, scrapbooking and social media. Not having her own children, she doted on and adored her niece Hannah and her nephew Ethan.
She bravely fought many obstacles throughout her life and after a courageous battle against breast cancer went to be with the lord.
Jaimie was truly loved and cherished and will be in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca.
