We Remember
CLAYTON, Helen Beverley
January 13, 1926 — June 10, 2020
At the incredible age of 94, Bev passed away peacefully in her home on June 10, 2020. Bev is survived by her sister Virginia Monahan as well as her children Maureen Cole and Allan (Judy) Clayton, while her daughter Linda greeted her in heaven. Bev was a very proud Grandma of five: Jennifer (Shane) Warawa, Susan (Dylan) Paul, Chase Clayton, Brock Clayton, and Corey Cole; as well as a Great-Grandma to Evan, Ava, Alexa, Lindan, and Ellie. She was predeceased by her Mother Effie in 1992 and her Father Oscar in 1994.
Bev was born in Vancouver and lived on the West coast until 1972 when she moved to Kelowna. She briefly moved back to White Rock to help look after her parents, ultimately returning to Kelowna in 1996 where she spent the rest of her life. Bev lived independently right up until her last day on earth, which is exactly how she wanted it.
Bev loved gardening, cooking, and baking and most of all, spending time with family and friends. She also loved her faithful dog and companion Max who was part of her life for almost 13 years.
If so desired, donations can be made in Bev’s memory to Variety Children’s Charity, a cause Bev donated to every year. There will be no service by request. If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.
