We Remember
Jaheny, Leroy (Roy)
—
Passed away peacefully on June 30, 2012. Survived by his loving wife Dianne of 56 years, his children; Leaza, Glen and Rick, five grandsons and one great grandson, three brothers; Gary, Bud and Ken. Roy spent most of his life as a commercial fisherman and proved to be a skilled and dedicated skipper on the west coast. He always had a special knowledge and relationship with the ocean, and loved any time spent fishing with his family. In later years, his appreciation for nature and his surroundings was clear. He thoroughly enjoyed many hours of playing crib with his family. He will be missed by many.
A wake to celebrate his life will be held at the home of Dianne Jaheny.

Dear Diane and family: Working in a Dr’s office one meets all kinds of people and your family was definitely among my favourites….thinking of all of you.
With our Deepest Sympathy to the Jaheny Families. You are all in our thoughts.
For Leaza (and family),
I know how difficult it is to lose such an important member of the family. Time heals and time passes but the love always stays. Thinking of you.
When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~Kahlil Gibran
Cheers Leroy until our next “happy hour” crib game… FYI there will be no “stink hole” rule 🙂
Dear Dianne & Family,
My sincerest sympathies to all of you. I will always remember Roy as a true gentleman and fine neighbour.
Dianne and Jaheny family,
Many memories throughout the years.Heartfelt sympathies to all
With my most sincere sympathy to Roy’s family and friends. Roy was my most favorite customer at work! When he came in he always called me “survivor”, after the show, even though he knew my name. He always brightened my day with a mere smile. I will truly miss him and I am so very sorry.
Our extended family had the wonderful opportunity and pleasure of spending time with Uncle Roy in his final week or so of life. He and Aunt Dianne came to celebrate my father Gary’s 80th birthday. During that time, we were reminded of what a colourful and caring person he was. (Aunt Dianne, too!) I/We are so thankful for that time spent with him. Uncle Roy made such an impression on us. His passing leaves a huge gap, as I know it does for his family. To Aunt Dianne and my cousins, please know that we grieve alongside you. My father will miss Roy’s presence and their almost daily calls between Kelowna and Ottawa. xoxo
Dear Diane & families,
Chris & I were so sorry to have heard that Roy passed away. I always enjoyed his company.
To the Jahney family: Sorry to hear of your loss. I fondly remember the days of our youth, down at the river.
