We Remember
LAFFERTY, Joshua Lee
—
July 5, 1975 – July 28, 2021
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joshua Lee Lafferty at the age of 46 on July 28, 2021. Josh was a man of love and laughter. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother and best friend Suzanne Lafferty (Mike Stojcevski); father Lee Swanson (Kim Sigurdson); brother Robin Swanson; grandparents Walter and Betty ‘G Ma’ Neufeld; and a vast host of extended family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held to honour Josh, however due to the current pandemic restrictions it will be an intimate affair with the closest friends and family only (children not recommended). The family would like to invite all who want to pay their respects to join by Livestream on FRIDAY, AUGUST 20, 2021 AT 2:00 PM PDT. A recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter. Respecting Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no reception at this time.
In many ways, Josh was larger than life and had a big, bold, happy personality. To honour this incredible man, the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in the coming months once restrictions are lifted. Until then, please search for some tacky pants and a luau shirt that Josh would be proud of and the quickest to make fun of.

I knew Josh since he was 4 years old and babysat him all the time. HIs mother trusted me to look after him and I will always be honoured that she believed in me to take care of him. We had so much fun together, he will always be that little boy I took care of. Sending out so much love to Sue and Lee and all of his family and friends. A very special man will be deeply missed by all.

I would just like to say my condolences to his whole family my heart goes out to all of you.
Josh and I have been friends for over 20 years met each other in Abbotsford and became friends really quick I have so much respect and love for Josh for so many great reasons too many to put on here. We lost contact for a few years we both change our life course he went to become a fireman and I changed and went back to university. And then one day I bump into him at my workplace out of town where he was attending our daily meeting as our new safety advisor for the company, the amount of love and happiness I felt the day I saw him was huge he felt the same thing because amongst all the people that were there that day we gave each other a huge hug as if nobody was around I missed him like a brother. That’s was a few years ago now and we stand connected ever since. I could not have asked from a better friend, he was, funny as hell and loyal to his bros.
He will be extremely missed by me in many other of our brothers. Again much love to you the family and I’m very sorry for your loss.
