On August 5, 2012, Brian joined his granddaughter Paige who predeceased him in 2003. He leaves behind his loving wife Joan, of 49 years, his sons Cory (Rhonda) and Darren; grandson Riley; brothers Jim, Doug (Jan), Bob and Dave, as well as many nieces and nephews. Until his retirement, Brian was a firefighter with the Kelowna Fire Department. He enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and taking his companion “Rosie” to the dog park. At his request, there will be no memorial service.

Brian was fellow firefighter and good friend for 25 years. Always in good spirits and ready for a good time. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with Joan and family.
My deepest condolences to you Mrs. Middleton, Cory and Darren. I have fond memories of coming over and swimming in your pool while we were neighbors on Knowles Rd and was always made to feel welcome.
I still remember Mr. Middleton’s famous whistle when calling the boys for dinner.

I grew up on Knowles rd with Cory and Darren. You and your husband were always kind and caring neighbours. I still remember him in his uniform and running the lights and siren as he drove past our house and waved. I am sorry to hear of your loss. He will forever live in the memories in all those he was around.

Paige was my best friend when I went to belgo elementary and I’m sure she’d love for me to send my love and condolences to her family! To her grandma I’m so sorry for your loss!! To Cory and Rhonda I’m sorry for the loss of a parent I hope you guys are doing better I love and miss you guys.
