GOOD, James “Jamie” Wallace
July 26, 1968 — November 22, 2021
Jamie Wallace passed away unexpectedly in Kelowna, BC, on November 22, 2021, at the age of 53. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Cindy Good; his children Nick, Kurtis, and Christopher; parents Lindsay and Mary Good; sisters Laura MacDonald and Joanne Sells (Tony); his parent-in-laws George and Dilys Gibson; brothers-in-law Brad Gibson (Tanya Elchuk) and Mark Gibson; and his nieces Livia and Lindsay MacDonald, Ashlynn Sells, Gabrielle and Alex Gibson; and many extended family members.
Born in Santa Barbara, California, Jamie was raised in Calgary, Alberta. Jamie and Cindy were married in 2000 and spent 10 years in Spokane, WA, where Nick, Kurtis, and Christopher were born. The family moved back to Canada in 2010, settling in Kelowna. In Spokane, Jamie worked as a pilot for FedEx. He began working for Westjet in 2009. While Jamie had a passion for flying, his heart was always with family and home life. He cherished his family time and savoured the little moments in life.
Special thanks to family members, friends, Jamie’s co-workers at Westjet, and Cindy’s co-workers at Kelowna General Hospital.

I did a bunch of James initial training when he started at Westjet. Although I have rarely seen him since, I remember him as a very good pilot, but more importantly a kind and sincere person. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family.

Dear Good Family:
We never got an opportunity to meet Jamie and his wonderful family. However, we have known Jojo for many years and know how much she loved her brother. We send lots of love and support during this difficult time.

We were so glad, that we were able to have a short visit with Jamie, at the Kelowna Airport, on our last trip, a couple of years ago. It was a beautiful service, thank you so much for letting us watch the livestream from New Zealand. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. RIP Jamie
I am so not good at these!!! Just from the heart. Cindy, James. Boys. It has been the biggest pleasure working with you for so many years…Myself, my subs and my staff are so heartbroken and will do all we can to make Jamie’s wishes come to light. Cindy, you always have a friend in Christina and I. God bless.
Dear Cindy, Nick, Kurtis and Christopher,
I just finished watching the live stream of Jamie’s Celebration of Life. I was wrapped in a warm blanket on my couch with a tissue box beside me. It was wonderful to be virtually connected with all of you during this difficult time.
My heart broke with yours when I read about the passing of Jamie. I was shocked and saddened while I immediately recalled the times Jamie came to my classroom for our special Parent and Child Celebrations. He was always THERE for YOU boys. I would always try to plan those special celebrations around his flying schedule because I knew how much he appreciated coming into the classroom to celebrate the successes of his boys. Jamie always made me feel appreciated and respected. He instilled these values into his “good” children and I’m the lucky teacher who taught all 3 of them!
May your father’s wisdom always resonate in your memory and his wit make you laugh on the days you need it most.
Sincerely,
Julie Fiorentino
We are so sad to hear of the loss of Jamie. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Good families.
