BAJAJ, Tony Kumar

October 6, 1962 — October 1, 2022

It is with heavy hearts the Bajaj family announces the passing of Tony Kumar Bajaj, age 59, who passed away peacefully on October 1, 2022, in Kelowna, BC. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Asha Bajaj; along with his three children: TJ Bajaj, Sumeet Bajaj, and Saagar Bajaj. He is also survived by his parents Chaman Lal Bajaj and Parkash Wanti Bajaj; his siblings Raj Kumar Bajaj (Shinder), Rajinder Kumar Bajaj (Alka), and Sonia Sachdeva (Pawan); his mother-in-law Pritam Devi Khurana; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Balkrishan (Shivinder), Kamlesh (Subash), Ashok (Sarita), Jim (Seema), Sweeta, and Sean (Babita). He was predeceased by his father-in-law Harbans Lal Khurana and brother-in-law Tony (Anu).

Tony was raised in Moga, Punjab before settling in Canada in 1985. He moved to Abbotsford, BC and later moved to the Okanagan in July 2007.  Tony will always be remembered as someone who put his family first. His family owned a grocery store in India, and everyone in the community knew him as an honest and hard-working man. He was loved and cared for by those he came in touch with, while building meaningful relationships with every customer that came in to the store. He was a dear friend to many, and his work ethic followed him throughout his time in Canada, where he and his family owned gas stations and lotto kiosks. His humorous personality, sarcasm, and love for his family will always be cherished.

The Bajaj family would like to sincerely thank all of their family and friends for taking great care of Tony and creating beautiful memories with him that will bring comfort to all of those that loved him.

A Funeral Service will be held on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2022, at 10:00 am (PDT), at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service (see below), a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.
