Dear Ruth, so very sad to hear that Roger has left his dearly loved earthly home. His was a generous, mindful and kindly spirit. I have only memories of Roger’s ability to be positive and friendly to every one in every situation. Now he is at peace, no more physical ailments to trouble his joy in being with his Lord. May you all find peace in the midst of your grief as you are assured of his rest and comfort in the heavenly places.

Hello Ruth, What a wonderful tribute I just saw to Roger’s life. Sorry we were not able to be present, but the service online was as if I was with you in person. As you know Roger worked with me in the Office in Edmonton for a few years. and knew him many years before that. We wish you God’s special blessings as you journey on without Roger. Love and prayers, Abe and Ann Funk
Dear Erickson Family, I have very fond memories of Roger, Marion and Meagan many years ago in Port Alberni. I send you and Ruth my heartfelt sympathy 💐.
Dearest Uncle Roger,
I have so many fond memories of your kindness, not to mention your infectious laugh and impossibly wide smile. Although I haven’t been able to spend enough time with you over the years, whenever we connected you and Ruth were always so welcoming. I am grateful for the times we did get to share, although now I see they were far too few. Despite this, you made a real impact on me. When I was in Kelowna recently, I was organizing some old boxes from my childhood and came upon a school project entitled ‘What I Want to Be When I Grow Up.’ And the pages were full of you! When I was ten years old I wanted to be a missionary like you and Aunt Marion, and I know that was because of the example of selfless love and generosity you both set for me. While the missionary plan didn’t work out, I have spent a wonderful life living across the globe, and I thank you for showing me that such things were possible. You were loved and admired, and will be so very deeply missed. Sending all my love to David, Meagen, Ruth, and our family, with regrets that I cannot be there in person. With love from Madrid, from Stu (Shannon), Marta and Mateo.
