We Remember
AXELSON, Bruce
January 6, 1961 — May 19, 2023
Bruce Axelson passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 19, 2023, with son Cody and former wife Lindsey at his side, at the age of 62 years in Kelowna, BC.
He is survived by his son Cody; siblings Greg, Debbie, Colin, and Tracy; and his uncle Carl.
Bruce was a good father and caring husband. He was an accomplished musician, playing the guitar and harmonica. He had a great sense of humour and his favorite saying was “Far out!” His favourite hat read “I love guitars and motorcycles and maybe 3 people”
He was a man of tremendous stamina and strength.
He will be missed by many.

Cody, Colin, Kale and all of the Axelsons:
Pat and I are so sorry for your loss! I could not agree more with your description of Bruce, even though I only met him a few times. The standout part to me was his wonderful natural ability! The first day that I met him was at the Joe Rich Rink one late evening just after he moved here. Cocky as I was then, I challenged the only other guy on the rink to a one on one game. I soon found out my mistake when Bruce was skating circles around me-backwards, no less and enjoying it so much! Another time, he dropped over to our place for a beer and found my guitar in the corner and proceeded to play a few licks! I was impressed for sure! He always came across to me as a humble, happy person and I know he will be sadly missed. by all of you!
Jules and Pat

Bruce will be so deeply missed. I feel so grateful for having had him in our lives. He was such a joy as a youngster, always coming out with the goofiest things to make us laugh. He had an awesome sense of humour and was so very talented. I feel so grateful that his pain and suffering is over. He can now rest in peace. Having known him his whole life I have many wonderful memories of him growing up. You will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered always. RIP Brucie.
