A fond memory I have of Kenny was in the lounge at the Willow and when I asked him if I could buy him a drink; he said no but your waitress is a single Mom, so leave her enough to buy some new booties for her baby.
Thank you for that life lesson Kenny. I have learnt alot from you, and value many things you have said over the years, that has helped me to be successful in my business. You are a friend not to be forgotten. God bless your family.

Joan and Family …
Living in Quebec, I just got the sad news re Ken. I used to play softball vs. him in Kitimat. I had some reunions with Ken in Kelowna … the last one where he took Carolyn and I for drinks at the Inn and at other places. A great host with great stories. When our kids were young we always stayed at the Willow Inn at $48/night for years. He loved his family, Mexico, and so many friends.
I’ll remember him well and please accept our real sympathies.
Joan & family, So sorry to hear about Ken’s passing. I met Ken when he was a member of the Board of H.I.R. He was truly “one of the good guys” and he will be missed. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Dear Joan and family. This is Don from West Vancouver. I first met Ken around 1965 when I was property manager for H.A.Roberts Realty in Vancouver. Ken was manager of the Fraser Lake Hotel at a strip mall that I became responsible for. Ken was also involved in acting as our eyes and ears regarding the mall that I knew nothing about nor was I familiar with the social economic environment of Fraser Lake and the challenges that went with that region. He was also kind of a sheriff, maintaining law and order at the site and he actually had a holding cell in the Hotel’s basement. Ken was unbelievably helpful to me and probably one of the nicest persons I have ever met, just a super guy.
Little did I know at the time that Ken and my brother-in-law, Dal Perran were like brothers growing up in Howe Sound.
His passing is truly a big loss and I hope that the great memories we all have from our association with Ken will give you comfort at this time. My sincere condolences.
