OLESIEJUK, Stanley Edward
October 19, 1935 — January 21, 2013
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, Stan Olesiejuk, at the Central Okanagan Hospice House, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Predeceased by his sister Kashmira in 2011. He will be greatly missed by his beautiful wife of 53 years, Deanna; their children: Steven, Jean (Stewart) and Kathleen (Carrie); grandchildren: Lindsay (Rory), Marlon (Angela), Haley (Evan), Taylor, Kirstin and Tyson; plus four great grandchildren: Kya, Ashtyn, Leah and Cooper. Also survived by nephew Richard Onoferson, great niece Kashmira Onoferson and brother-in-law Larry Flatness. A Celebration of Stan’s life will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Reception to follow the service at East Kelowna Hall, 2704 East Kelowna Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

I’m so sorry to hear of Stan’s passing. I remember his smiling face and how friendly he always was at the farmers market. I will miss seeing him there. He was very talented and I always loved to stop and look at his beautiful copper fountains.
