RISSO, Wayne Gundo

Passed away on March 21, 2013 at the age of 66 at the Kelowna Hospice House. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Audrey Risso, 3 stepdaughters: Michele (Wes) Semchuk, Lisa Anthony and Dena Guenther all of Kelowna and 1 son; Terrance (Dolores) Risso of Terrace, BC, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brothers: Lorne (Bev) Risso of Kelowna and Bryan (Peggy) Risso of Lumby, as well as numerous friends and relatives. He is sadly predeceased by his parents Gundo and Linnea Risso and sister Myrna Walker. Wayne was the kindest, loving, most gentle man who loved his wife, family, land and friends. He was an avid sportsman, both doing and watching. He’ll be fishing in heaven with his good friend Tom Solmer. Wayne will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held on March 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC with Doctor Gordon Fletcher officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association – Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2Z6. I have so many great memories of being at Wayne’s farm when I was a kid. I remember going on the snowmobiles, on the tractor, and playing in the hay loft with Terry!
I also remember all the hockey games we used to go to.
I have nothing but great memories of Wayne, and have nothing but appreciation and admiration of the man he was.

Wayne was a kind and caring man who allways had a smile on his face. I remember him as a very hard worker and usually a joke or 2 up his sleeve. Our prayers go out to the family.

Bryan and I were best friends in elementary school and I have many great memories of Wayne as a child and young man I haven’t seen him often since those years but we always had a smile and a freindly word. I’ll miss that… But he will remain in my thoughts forever.
