January 21, 1952 – Eston, SK – July 18, 2013 – Kelowna, BC

Dennis Resch passed away peacefully with family by his side in Kelowna, BC at the age of 61 on Wednesday, July 18, 2013. Dennis enjoyed a love for his family along with outdoor activities and sports. His life and work allowed him to be involved with many projects to which he and his beloved wife Connie could work alongside each other throughout the day and night. Dennis is survived by his wife and soulmate Connie along with their three children Tracy Resch, Tyler (Marianna) Resch, Leala (Kelly Maxwell) Boswall, and Grandson Quinten Maxwell. He is also survived by his brothers Lloyd (Jackie) Resch, Larry (Helen) Resch, Ken (Janice Rinas) Resch, Bill (Jean) Resch along with sisters Carolyn Opalinski, Violet (Bill) Baugh, and Geri (Archie) Archand. Dennis also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with his constant companions “the kids”, Sam and Molly (Labrador retrievers) Dennis is pre-deceased by his parents Sam and Marjorie Resch. We acknowledge the support from Dr. Verster along with the Oasis Medical Clinic, Kelowna Cancer Clinic, and Kelowna Hospice House. Dennis will be sorrowfully missed and lovingly remembered by all that knew him. His social presence will be missed by both family and friends. Keeping with Dennis’s love of life and family, a Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 2 – 5pm at 179 Vimy Avenue, Kelowna, BC, as well as on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 6 – 10pm at the Esplanade Arts Centre, 401 1st S.E., Medicine Hat, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5L3.     Tyler and Family –
    I just wanted to pass along my sympathies to you and the entire Resch family. I have fond memories of your dad’s devotion to you and the game of hockey. I recall several conversations with him about how much he wanted for you and how much he cared – even if it sometimes came out in his grumbled way. I really appreciated his honesty and straightforwardness. We are praying for you and the rest of your family.
