  • Valerie braun(nee stushnoff) says:

So sorry to hear that John passed away. He will always be fondly remembered by us for his sense of homer. I always laugh when I remember how he jacked my car up in your driveway and laughed and laughed when I jumped in and tried to leave and thought my car was broken. He was so proud of the fact that he finally got me to swear. I have forever been changed by how the family taught me to look at things. His memory lives on.

  • Gord Hoffman says:

Gerry and family, my sincere condolences on John’s passing. I have many memories of him. One story that I remember well about John is when my brother Ken and I were building our house on Wallace Road. Ken, my dad (Ernie) and myself were struggling to put the trusses on. We needed help and John happened to pop by. A few minutes later my friend Jerry Guthrie came by so the two of them helped us. John and Jerry Guthrie were holding one truss end. John said to Jerry, “I’ll hold the nail and you hammer it it but don’t hit my thumb”. Jerry Guthrie promptly hammered John’s thumb with the first swing of the hammer. John’s thumb turned black immediately. He was always there to lend a hand. He and yourself were and are very good friends of my family. My heart goes out to you and your family. Sincerely, Gordie and Cindy Hoffman
