We Remember
KRAUSE, Tony
—
We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Tony on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Tony was born on September 26, 1957 and was adopted a few days later by Ted and Alma Krause. Tony spent the first 11 years of his life in Westbridge, BC, then moving to Kelowna, BC. Tony was predeceased by his both his parents, but lovingly remembered the wonderful life they had given him.
Tony is survived by his partner of 33 years, Sandy Kraft. Tony is also survived by his sister Brenda and Ed Thiessen of Lafleche, SK; nephew David and his family; niece Jennifer and her family; many aunts, uncles and cousins. His is also survived by Sandy’s extended family; Dolly and Cec; Pat and Terry; Roza; Adam, Sam, Lucas and Logan; Peggy, Glenn, Jesse and Penelope; Mike and Diana; Sheila and Oly; Tanya and Graeme; Rob; Sharon; Desi, Stephanie, Dominic and Austin; Cassidy and Josh; Dave and Bernie; Dean, Lisa, Mandy and Colton.
Tony loved hunting, but this passion was drag racing. He would stand for hours by the side of the racetrack just so he could get those perfect shots. Tony had a portfolio that any photographer would have been proud to call his own. Tony lived for the race days and could faithfully be found in Ashcraft, Thunder Mountain and Mission Raceway on all race days.
Many people will remember Tony from driving his delivery truck for International Plastics and Corix for 23 years. He knew every contractor on site and was well-liked by all who had the good fortune to meet him.
Tony was a kind and generous man with a heart of gold and but sadly leaves us all with a huge hole in ours.
Sandy would like to express a special thank you to our family and friends…especially Pat and Terry; Dolly and Cec; Dave and Bernie; Rick and Sherilyn Given and Jeff Holmberg for your unending support during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing, he was a good man and great photographer
I was first introduced to Tony as many were, through interactions with International Plastics/Corix on our construction projects. I became re-acquainted with Tony while mutually taking photos during the 2016 racing season at Thunder Mountain. Tony was always happy to talk shop or enlighten on his travels to other race venues and the myriad of those he knew through attending. Affable and gregarious – you will be missed Tony. Sincere condolences to Tony’s family and many friends.
