We Remember
ANAGNOSTOPOULOS, Christos
May 4, 1972 — August 8, 2020
Chris Anagnostopoulos passed suddenly on Saturday, August 8, 2020. He is survived by his wife Jenny, sons Dimitrios and Aristidis, daughter Anastasia, parents Aristidis & Argyro, as well as his brother Mike, and extended family in Vancouver, Victoria and Greece.
Chris was born in Victoria on May 4, 1972, and relocated to Kelowna, BC in 1996 where he started what became his life’s work as an entrepreneur. He was adored by his staff and customers. Kelowna became his new home where he settled and started his family. Chris will always be remembered for his contagious smile, the one-liners that had everyone laughing, and the way he was eager to help and support anyone who entered his life. He loved every single person and dedicated his whole life to his family, friends, co-workers, and anyone he did business with. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as pickle ball, hunting, quadding, smelt fishing, crab fishing and camping with his family & friends. “Go habs go” forever & always.
A Funeral Service will be held to honour Chris, due to the current pandemic restrictions it will be by invitation only, however the family would like to invite all who would like to pay their respects to join by livestream on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 1:00 pm. To view the Livestream click on the link below.
In lieu of flowers, gifts, etc, we would like everyone to donate to jumpstart, a great opportunity for Chris to continue helping those in need, by helping low income kids have the chance to pursue hockey and all sports. Link: jumpstart.canadiantire.ca

I grew up with Chris in Victoria and have such fond memories of our times together. To hear the news of his sudden passing is disheartening, it seems like yesterday we were playing road hockey with all the boys. To Mr. and Mrs. Anagnostopoulos, I am so grateful to you both for raising such a kind soul and honorable man. To Mike, I always respected how Chris was a big brother to you and I tried to emulate the same relationship that he shared with you to my little brother. To Jenny and the kids, I embrace the great memories that I shared with Chris. I look back on the advice he shared with me and he was always right. I am proud of the family that he has raised. He has always been the same Chris since we met in Grade 3. Chris and I talked a few times over the years but it was not enough, but no matter what, we always picked up where we left off. The nicknames we had, the adventures, the hockey and the laughs are days that I miss, and talking about them always leaves a smile on my face.
I’m very saddened by your loss. Rest in peace my friend.
Bobby

To the Anagnostopolous Family,
I am thinking of you all during this very difficult time. This is such a tragedy.
The memories of our child hood, as neighbourhood friends riding our bikes for hours, playing baseball in our yard, playing with hot wheels cars in the sandbox, watching Chris and his Brother Mike playing hockey on our street(CAR!!!) are flooding back to me. Even as teenagers we were always there for one another. We would walk home together from school until he got his license. Then he would ask me if I needed a ride.
We have since seen each other get married to our loves and seen each other have our own families. We always have been there for each other. Last month we had an chance to visit in Kelowna.
I will treasure the time and memories we had together. I am so blessed that I had the privilege to call Chris my friend!
I will forever miss you Chris!

Prayers, and condolences to all family and friends of Chris! Such a great man! Chris, Mike, Ang, and Ariz lived across the street from us on Jedburgh Road until Chris’ and then the rest moved to Kelowna. We were privileged to meet Jenny and some of the kids before all were in Kelowna. Chris’ fame for watching and playing hockey played out on the ongoing street hockey with many kids and adults. The fig trees that still stand and flourish cause me to reflect the family and memories. Chris was so peaceful, friendly, and hospitable to all he was around. May your memories hold strong and the pain of your great loss subside in time. The world has been a better place with his presence as a friend, son, father, and spouse! May Chris now be in different and glorified peace in Heaven as we miss him here in Earth.
My most sincere condolonces to all of you. I consider it a very special priviledge to have known Chris when he worked in Victoria and will miss him forever. An upstanding individula on every front and a credit to his generation.
