We Remember
BAIN, Robert G.
May 22, 1934 — August 10, 2016
Robert “Bob” Bain passed away peacefully surrounded by love August 10th. He was the beloved husband of Doreen, adoring father to Rick (Shelagh), Shelley (Grant), Bobbi-Ann. His six grandchildren Jeremy (Teresa), Maggie (Ken), Graham (Carley), Kyle (Katie), Owen and Justin were his pride and joy, only topped by the “greats” Olivia, Sam and Margaux also brother Brian, sisters Sheila and Helen and many nieces and nephews and son in law Alain. Bob was a life member of the Kelowna Jaycees and a JC Senator. He was active as a Regatta Director and Parade Marshall for many years. He was very community minded and loved volunteer work. We just heard of Bob’s passing and wish to send our condolences to Doreen and Family. Bob was a busy and energetic man, a model citizen and he certainly knew what the word “volunteer” meant.
He will be missed by many.
Kurt and Irene Lauridsen.
Dear Doreen and family, Just saw that Bob had passed away, so sorry to hear that but hope he wasn’t suffering too much. We have many fond memories of times spent with both of you during our Jaycee years. I’m sure you have many wonderful memories that will help with your sorrow. Thinking of you at this difficult time. With friendship, Charlie and Wendy
Doreen and family:
I introduced Bob to Jaycees years ago and he never let me forget it! He always gave unselfishly to his fellow Jaycees and his community. I’ll never forget his look of astonishment when he was presented with his well deserved Senatorship. I have fond memories of the many Jaycee functions and community projects we worked on together. You have my heartfelt sympathy. Floyd Lillies.
Dear Doreen and family,
On behalf of all Bob’s friends in Theatre Kelowna we send our heartfelt condolences to you Doreen and the family. Bob has been a steadfast supporter of Theatre Kelowna for many decades. We are so grateful for his support and will miss his smiling, cheerful face at TKS plays. Much love to you Doreen from all of us in the theatre and arts community.
So sorry about Bob, my thoughts are with you
