We Remember
BISARO, Carolyn Marie
October 23, 1960 — November 17, 2014
Carolyn passed away peacefully on November 17, 2014 knowing she would once again be with her pride and joy, her reason for life, her son, Geordie James Sutherland, who sadly predeceased Carolyn on June 2, 2007.
Carolyn is survived by her wonderful husband Michael Cooney; step-daughters: Tymara Cooney and Kimberly Sutherland; also survived by her loving brother Rick Bisaro. Carolyn will be deeply missed by the Bisaro family – the Cooney families and her good buddy Bill. Carolyn was a selfless woman who helped every child who needed her. She had the biggest heart in all of Rutland. “Big Momma” took two special kids into her heart and home. Robby Bishop and Quincy Raffel. No Service by request. The family would like to thank the Kelowna Hospice House for their support and wonderful care given to Carolyn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carolyn’s Memory to BC Children’s Hospital, Kelowna Hospice House or Kelowna S.P.C.A. For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

Our prayers are with you Rick in this difficult time.
Carolyn dated my brother Bryon when I was younger and she never treated me like anything less than a sister. She always made me feel special and was constantly doing thoughtful, creative things for us. I cried when I found out they were breaking up. I loved her dearly and am so sorry for your loss. She will always have a special place in my heart.
I enjoyed many fun times and have great memories with Carolyn as my friend in our teen years. After school I lost contact, but she has always been part of my life wondering how she was doing.I wish Carolyn peace and also peace and comfort for her family. I will definitely make a donation in her memory. I am so sorry for this families loss. God bless you all.
Oh sweet Carolyn ! So many memories , good & bad , but you were the one that always relentlessly saw that glass half Full never ever empty ! Your laughter and sense of humour and infectious friendship is what I will always miss . My precious friend , you always needed your space privacy and it”s my fault that I left you with that too much. You were blessed with so many many people in your short Life here with us , and now you are with your little shining star, just as it should be. Mike you brought her so much joy , Love , happiness and laughter! You were the lucky one to have spent so much time with her . She blessed you and you gave her peace , I’m sure at the end . It’s not easy to let her go , so don’t ! Be strong. Wish that I would have known , but this is my one regret , no one else’s. Bless each and every one of you and know how much we all Loved Carolyn at Schell Dental now and forever. I miss you my friend , love always Frannie. Xo

No longer in Kelowna but once in a while I check castanet obituaries to check if any of my deceased parents friends have passed on. So shocked to see Carolyn’s name. We were just casual friends in junior high school(KLO)and I will always remember her as being super cool. A sweet little rock and roller. Rest in Peace Carolyn. You made an impact

Our deepest sympathy Rick, on the loss of your sister.
I am so saddened to hear of Carolyn’s passing , she was my best friend in high school , we spent a lot of happy hours together hanging out , playing tennis , sleepovers , goofing around in class . Her house was a second home to me , her mom was very hospitable to me as well . We drifted apart after high school , but we ran in to each other on the odd occasion & caught up on our lives . My condolences to her brother Rick , spouse Mike & all the people in her life that loved her , RIP my dear Carolyn xo
