We Remember

CARLSON, Tina

January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970

Tina Carlson went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2020. She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; sons Mark and Daniel; her sister Hilda (Dave); brothers Jake (Lois) and Clifford; four nieces and one nephew; as well as her aunt Anne and uncle Jake Hiebert. Tina was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Lena Neufeld.

Tina was born in Steinbach, Manitoba on September 8, 1940. Her early working years were in Winnipeg for Great West Life and the CNR. In the late 1960’s she moved to Vancouver, BC. She worked for CNR telegraph, CP Air and Pacific Western Airlines.

Tina’s love for travel was likely derived from working for transportation companies. While single she went to Austria and Italy, then took a special trip to Hawaii with her mother. After marrying Gary, she moved to Prince George where they raised their family of two boys. In 2002 they moved to Kelowna for retirement.

Trips were made to Fiji, Australia, New York City, and by bus to the north eastern United States, with cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean, as well as many trips to Hawaii. Road trips were also made to Manitoba, Oregon, and California to visit family.

Tina always enjoyed her Friday evening meals out and stops at Tim Hortons.

Tina’s faith in God was a very important part of her life. Volunteering at the MCC store was an enjoyment for her.

We wish to thank KGH emergency and medical staff as well as Hospice House for her wonderful care.
