We Remember
COPEMAN, Tegan
—
1979-2020
On July 20, 2020, we lost a well-loved man. Tegan ‘Lefty’ James Copeman passed away far too soon at the age of 40 in Kelowna, BC. Son of James (Jim) William Copeman and Barbara Jane Lancaster-Allen. Stepson of Heather Margaret Rice. Brother of Bramble Lee Pryde (Copeman) Planiden and brother-in-law of Stephen George Planiden.
Genuine and thoughtful, Tegan was a gifted artist in both tattooing and painting. His knowledge of music, writers, and his curiosity for the obscure was unmatched. You would always leave a conversation with Tegan knowing more than you did before.
If you were fortunate enough to know Tegan you knew his wit was quick; his stories were captivating, his communications were epically tangential, and his talent for recollection was fascinating.
A Canucks fan to a fault, Tegan’s loyalty to the people around him was unfaltering. We are all the lucky ones; to have known him, laughed with him, and been deeply loved by him.
A service for Tegan will be held in the Spring, when we can properly gather and share our fond experiences, we’ve all had with Tegan / Lefty.
Rest easy T, say hi to Lemmy.

Rest in Peace. You are loved and missed
T. gave me my first tattoo almost twenty years ago. I hoped to say “hi”, show him how it was holding up and thank him again. I’m profoundly saddened that folks must feel the absence of such an excellent person.
Not a day goes by where I am not still positively affected by the memories of this amazing human being. Save me a Godfather and say hello to the lil’ death machine for me big bro.
