We Remember
DAVIS, Mary “Alice”
December 13, 1935 — March 22, 2023
Mary “Alice” Davis passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023. She will be forever missed and remembered by her sons and their spouses, grandchildren, great–grandchildren, friends, nieces, and nephews. Her youthful, fun spirit touched so many lives, and has left so many great memories for us all. Alice enjoyed crafts and loved bringing people together for homemade food and a great time. She had the uncanny ability to find humour in almost any situation, ensuring everyone was enjoying themselves. She will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten. Here is a poem she wanted to share with everyone.
When I Am Gone
When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile
Forget unkind words I have spoken
Remember some good I have done
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I’ve had loads of fun
Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day
Then forget to grieve for my going
I would not have you sad for a day
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay
And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best

Your mom was a beautiful woman inside and out. I always remember her as having a warm and kind energy that you wanted to be around. She was class.
She was an inspiration. She worked hard her whole life but still always wore a smile. And she pulled some interesting antics. I will always remember the picture of her sitting in the judges Court wearing his robe that she snuck when she was cleaning that night. She was a lot of fun to be around. I will miss her at our clan gatherings. May you find comfort with your families during this time and know she loved you all immensely
I’m so very sorry to learn of Alice’s passing,
She was one of my favourite cousins and I will miss her laughter and amazing sense of humour. Her hugs were warm and genuine and she had the gift of making people feel they were the most important person in her world. We shared many happy times together and I will miss that . My most sincere condolences to the family.

I just absolutely loved growing up with grandma Alice. She always was game for what ever Lenelle and I wanted to do. She has such a beautiful smile and an infectious giggle. She will be sadly missed by all!
