We Remember
DELEURME, Heidi
September 20, 1960 — October 30, 2024
Heidi Deleurme, age 64, passed away on October 20, 2024, in Kelowna, BC, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald, and her parents, Annelise & Emil. She is survived by her partner Terry; sons, Jesse (Natasha), Kyle, Ryan (Deanna), and Shawn (Cindy); grandchildren, Quinn and Tanner; and her siblings, Wolf, Ruth, and Werner. She is also survived by her much-loved cat Wally.
Heidi cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, Quinn and Tanner, who were the light of her life. She also held her nieces and nephews in her heart, and loved their visits; she took great joy in watching them grow over the years.
A dedicated support worker for individuals who have disabilities, Heidi’s compassion and humour shone through in her work. She built strong, trusting relationships with those she served, making a meaningful impact on their lives.
Heidi found joy in nurturing her garden and tending to her yard. Her home, built by her brother-in-law, was her sanctuary for 33 wonderful years. She also had a special bond with her horse, KC, who lived nearby and brought her much happiness.
Heidi enjoyed travelling with friends, especially trips to Mexico, where she created lasting memories and laughter.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA.

I went to high school with Heidi. When I would run into her we always had a good catch up session. She was a bright light and a kind and lovely lady. God speed. Sending my deepest condolences. Valerie Polman Petillion Grad 79 KSS
Sending my deepest condolences to you Jessie and family. My heart is broken with the passing of your mom, one of my dearest friends for 43 years . Her obituary says it all, she was the best wife to Ron, mom, grandmother, sister and friend. Saying goodbye was so difficult, but knowing she is now at peace and reunited with the love of her life brings me peace. Until we meet again HEIDI, HEIDI HO! Love you and miss you my beautiful friend, Sandy
Jesse and family,
I’m so sad to read of your Mom’s passing. Ron and I had 20+ years of your Mom’s/your friendship having KC with us. I have so many fond memories of your visits, the ‘special’ youth that your Mom supported and brought to spend time with KC and also having Annalise spend time with KC and ‘horsey’ Ron. I’ll cherish the photo of you, your Mom, Ron and KC as the last photo of KC. She was a lovely lady who gave her heart to all she knew. We were so fortunate to have had your Mom’s friendship in our lives. Hope you can feel the long distant hugs as I’m sure support from family and friends are helping you at this difficult time. Love and sincerest condolences to you and your family.
Clara

So sorry to hear of Heidi’s passing. I worked with Heidi as a suppoert worker at Pathways Abilities. She was a wonderful person, kind, patient and always cheerful. Everyone loved her, especially the clients. And her family was her life.
