We Remember

EPP, Elan – Updated Service Information
March 21, 2002 — February 14, 2025
A celebration of Elan’s life will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, drop-in between 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, at the Benvoulin Heritage Church, 2279 Benvoulin Rd, Kelowna, BC. At 12:00 noon, a short service will take place for those who are there at that time.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our precious daughter, Elan Epp, 22. On February 14, 2025, Elan passed away peacefully at home, held in the loving arms of her family.
Elan was adored by her family and friends, and she enjoyed music, crafts, reading books, movies, and going for walks by the lake.
She loved trips to Disneyland, summer visits from her cousins, and in spite of health challenges in the past year she was able to enjoy a family trip to Tofino during this past summer.
Even though Elan was non-verbal, she spoke volumes with her beautiful eyes and was often jokingly told she was being bossy. It was clear to everyone who knew her that Elan loved those around her very deeply, and her gorgeous smile and loving hugs will be very much missed.
Elan is survived by her parents, Rob and Cheryl; her sisters, Emily and Erin; her grandma, Diane Witte; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A special thank you to the many doctors, nurses, and therapists who lovingly cared for Elan during difficult times. Also to her best buddy, Tracy, for loving her and enriching her life with many fun experiences.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in Vancouver in honour of Elan. Canuck Place helped us give Elan the best life we could, and we will forever be grateful to them for this.

RIP beautiful Elan – my condolences to you, her family, as you grieve the loss of this beautiful angel. She will always be remembered by those of us who worked with her at KCS. A special memory of her joy when she engaged with her peers in Chit, Chat, Chill will always be close to my heart. May God grant you all peace in knowing she is in the loving arms of Jesus.
