We Remember

EPP, Henry
September 10, 1935 — July 31, 2023
With great sadness, we announce that our beloved Henry Epp passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023, in Kelowna, BC, with his wife, Gerry, by his side.
Born in Winnipeg, MB, to David and Margaret Epp, Henry was raised on a dairy farm. He loved sports; he played hockey, football, and baseball. He also supported his kids in their love of skating, he was the president of the CND Figure Skating Association of BC. Henry enjoyed his job in the RV world, having up to 3 dealerships of “Chimo Travel Homes”. He was a loving and supportive husband to Gerry in all of her endeavours as well.
Left to treasure his memory is Gerry, his loving wife of 59 years; his daughter Bonnie (Dean) Thorlakson, and his grandchildren Alex, Kylie, Joshua, Chris, and Christian; his son Colin Epp; and his son Cameron Epp; and chosen child Tim Lees. He will also be missed by his sister Mary and brother-in-law Ernie; and sister Margaret and his other brother-in-law Ernie. He was sadly predeceased by his brothers David and Werner, and his sister Helen.
Henry will be missed. “Safely Home”!
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service (see below), a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.

Gerry and family, our sincerest condolences on Henry’s passing. Thank you for live streaming the service, it was great to be able to attend this wonderful service. I am saddened to hear of the loss of Henry. I still remember the generosity of the Epps when I was a young skater at the Royal Glenora Club. I also remember stories from Cam and Colin regarding Henry in his youth and how he enjoyed sports. He will definitely be missed. My condolences.
