On March 6, 2023, in Kelowna, BC, Aldene Fitzpatrick went Home to be with the Lord. She was brought into this world on November 19, 1938, on the family farm in Delaney, SK.
A lifetime member of the Pythian Sisters, Aldene was active in her home church, Southwest Community Baptist Church. She retired the workforce after over 35 years of service at Scotia Bank. Aldene enjoyed her retirement years by travelling and going on cruises, and by having friends over to play Canasta.
Sadly, Aldene was predeceased by her husband Dale in 2008, she was also predeceased by six of her siblings. She is survived by her loving family: her children Ward (Carol) Fitzpatrick, Bruce Fitzpatrick, and Dalene (Joe) Frizell; her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; as well as by her surviving brother, Ken.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Aldene’s honour in Kamloops, date and time yet to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Children’s Hospital.

We first met Aldene at Southwest Community Church in Kamloops. She was always a “livewire”. We enjoyed many times with her, often in the company of other Southwest Church “Empty Nesters”. She was never afraid to give her opinions & had a wonderful sense of humour! She had us over to her beautiful home several times. Aldene always had a lovely garden & colourful flower pots that she was very proud of. Our sincere condolences to the family. Aldene was a faithful friend & hard worker for the church. We will all miss her so much…. Keeping her in our hearts. Thank you for sharing her with us.
I am so sorry to hear of Aldene’s passing. I have many memories of her at Empty Nesters, canasta and for years New Years Eve at her place my condolences to you all at her loss.
