We Remember
FOLEY, Marjorie
—
June 30, 1939 – April 11, 2021
Marjorie Foley passed away peacefully at her home, while surrounded by family, on April 11, 2021, at the age of 81.
Born in Calgary, AB, Marj settled back in Calgary for work and to raise her family after various moves. In the late 90s, she retired to Kelowna, BC.
Marj was adored by family, friends, and co-workers. She always had a craft or recipe to share. She made everyone feel loved with her smile, eyes, and contagious giggles; her stories will forever live on with those she told. She was forever a model, making sure everyone put their best foot forward and “do not forget the scotch guard”. Marj’s motto was “Love with everything you have and enjoy every moment.” She was fun-loving, mischievous, classy, and always a lady who never forgot her lipstick. Her love of all animals was a part of her caring nature.
Marj was sadly predeceased by her husband, Tom Foley; siblings Shirley Hay and Dan Clarke; brothers-in-law Don Peace and Jack Charbonneau; and her parents Bob & Muriel Clarke. Her legacy lives on through her children Debrah Galt (Jay), Craig Steinke (Erica), and Dawna Foley (Mike); grandchildren Lacey Winterton (Fergus), and Thomas and Nicholas Steinke; and great-grandchildren Ivor and Beau Gould. She is also survived by her siblings Verna Peace, Bob Clarke (Carol), and Donna Phillips; sister-in-law Pat Charbonneau and brother-in-law Jim Foley (Edna); and many extended family members.
Thank you to Springfield Funeral Home for their special care and attention during this time.
