We Remember
GELINAS, Francois “Frank”
February 22, 1944 — August 30, 2022
We are sad to announce that Frank passed away on August 30, 2022, Linda, his wife, was at his side. His family, son Gregory, daughter Shelley, and their families, were able to spend time with him before he passed.
Born in Ottawa, ON to parents Albert and Stella, Frank was one of 11 children. Growing up in a large family created many happy memories; the dinner table was always filled with laughter and family sharing stories.
Frank worked for Indian and Northern Affairs for 35 years. With his career he moved around, spending time in Regina, Meadow Lake, Terrace, Prince George and Vancouver. It was in Prince George, BC that he met Linda, and soon they became a family. Frank and Linda spent 29 years together. Frank was very proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was overjoyed when grandkids came along, and he was thrilled to be a grandpa.
Frank always enjoyed having coffee and catching up with friends. He enjoyed many sports and was a dedicated fan of the Kelowna Rockets.
He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors in emergency that took good care of Frank.

Dear Linda and Family, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather. As the oldest of the Gelinas’nieces I have many fond memories of my “oncle Francois”, particularly his great generosity, sense of humour, and laughter..
