We Remember
HARLEY, Steve
June 14, 1957 — May 26, 2020
Steve passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 26, 2020 at the age of 63. He leaves behind his brother Neil (Fay) and their children. He was predeceased by his parents Byron and Freda. A private Celebration of Life will take place.
Hello Neil – I was sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. You may not remember me but I knew you both as teenagers, primarily through your parents. Your dad Bryon was my driving instructor when I was 16 and your mom Freda worked for a time with my grandparents Vi and Warren Moore at Cranna’s Jewellers in Penticton. Even after they moved on to Kelowna they kept in touch with my grandparents and visited over the years. I remember your family as very close and your folks were quite amazing. My condolences for your loss, Lynn Stephenson
Thank you , Lynn, for your kind words. I do remember you and your grandparents especially, they were very good friends to my Mom. Great memories of happier times.
Neil and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I work at Moduline with Steve, he was a great person and I enjoyed our talks. Steve would hang a box of chocolates and a little stuffy on my door every Easter with a note of thanks, he was a very thoughtful person. One time he came in with a set of Christmas lights for my office because felt my office was not festive enough, I put them up every year. I will miss Steve’s smiles and hellos.
Thank you Tracey, he will indeed be missed by all. He was a unique person, truly one-of-a-kind.
It has been a long time Neil but I remember you and your brother Steve and especially your parents of course. We square danced together way back and your Dad also taught me how to drive as I had to unlearn bad habits from my own father. I always wondered what happened with you all and now I know. Please accept my very late but sincere condolences.
