We Remember

Tribute to my beautiful Mom. This woman right here was loved and respected by many. She was always the life of the party. Wherever she went she would talk to everyone. She could be seen all around town walking (sometimes 10 kilometers a day). She always had a smile on her face. She loved camping and travelling around in the motorhome with my Dad. Going to casinos and finding a good deal at the thrift store or a yard sale. In her younger years, she loved bowling and hanging by the pool in our backyard with a cold beer.
Her grandchildren Mae Stewart, Jacob Wilson, and Emily Waller were her pride and joy. She would steal them for many sleepovers and take them to movies. Also many trips to Silverwood Theme Park. She loved every single one of her many brothers and sisters along with their spouses and children. She was so very close with her sister Valerie and has now gone to join her and their brothers Bill, Barney, and Kenny. Along with her parents. What a party that will be.
We are all very sad and will miss her terribly. But we are ok and we all got the chance to say goodbye which we realize is not a blessing that a lot of people get. So to all her many friends and family – she loved you all. Have a cold beer and cheer to her. When we have time to process all of this we will plan a big party to honor her (probably this summer). Which is what she would want.
Dad is ok and Lisa has been at his side throughout this whole thing. He isn’t really a very good phone guy (that was all Mom) but I’m sure he will read any messages he receives.
So from my Mom to all reading this, please don’t be sad. Life goes on and let’s make her proud.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelowna Hospice House.
