HENDERSON, Bertha Evelyn
May 9, 1930 — November 24, 2020
Bertha Evelyn Henderson passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, at the age of 90. She is survived by her daughter Arlene (Lorry); son Rick; granddaughter Jennifer; and many nieces and nephews.
Bertha known as “Bert” was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Bert lived for family and loved visits with grandchildren and all the nieces and nephews. Bert worked at the Bay for many years and will be missed greatly by her friends “the Bay Girls” who were great friends to the end.
Bert was a strong, kind, generous, and loving person always thinking of others before herself.
Bert will join her loving husband Len at the Kelowna Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations go to your local charity of choice.

Dear Arlene, Lorry and family,
Our most sincere condolences on the loss of your cherished mom and grandmother. Bert was such a lovely lady and so kind and gentle. She will be missed by so many but left footprints on everone’s hearts who had the pleasure of meeting her. She will be remembered always with the fondest of memories.
Love,
Myrna and Ted
Arlene and Rick, this is sad news to hear. Your mom was such a special lady in my life. We met in 2003 while she took good care of her mom and I was with my friend T. I dropped by just in October and felt but was not able to visit her. A lovely lady, a lovely friend. Thinking of you Arlene as I lost my mom in June. So hard to lose a mom.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. My mom and dad, Mable and Jake Martens were friends with Len and Bert and so I remembered the name. Just last night I saw Bert in the slides I was going through – my sweet mom passed away last month as well, so I’ve been going through their pictures to make a book for Dad. I would like to pass on condolences, as I’m sure Mom would have done. Take care, Heather
Thankyou Heather….Yes our parents did have good times together. I have very fond memories of both your parents, your Mom was so lovely. So sorry for your loss. Sincerely Arlene
My dear Arlene, Rick and Lorry,
an angel has now ascended to Len and Ingrid in heaven.
In grateful remembrance of a beautiful, though unfortunately only short time, I too take my leave.
Bert was a strong soul with a big heart. That will never be forgotten, because nobody can erase the thoughts. She will continue to keep a place in all our lives.
In silent remembrance of a wonderful person.
Werner (with Ingrid deep in my heart)
In grateful memory of the wonderful women Bert and Ingrid
