We Remember
HIGGINS, Ryan
—
January 31, 1986 – April 29, 2021.
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Ryan William Higgins announces his sudden and unexpected passing at the age of 35 of natural causes. He leaves behind his wife Sami and their newborn daughter Veronika born May 3, 2021, his four fur babies Roxie, Ralph, Ted, and Lucy, his mom Debbie (Rick) and his Dad Joe (Cathy), his sisters Shannon (Matt), Amy, and Sydney (Landon), Sami’s Parents Sharada and Steve, along with many extended family and friends.
Ryan was a master electrician but found his true joy working as a grip on the movie scene in Kelowna. He was an avid mountain biker, loved planting trees and shrubbery at his home to create a hidden oasis for his family, and took great pride in his Irish heritage.
He was eagerly anticipating the birth of his first daughter.
Ryan had a lust for life, was caring, passionate, humorous, and bigger than life itself.
He was taken too soon and will be greatly missed by all who got to know him, even if it was for a short time.

Wow! I’ve known Ryan since we were kids, we went to elementary school, we didn’t keep in touch often and it was normal for us to go a year or longer without talking but I always enjoyed when I saw him, used to randomly see him at Cecil’s perogies a lot!
I was looking him up to try to get ahold of him and now I know why I couldn’t find him 🙁
I am so sorry for your loss guys. I never met his wife and haven’t seen any of his family since I was a kid, used to spend the night at their place down richter there. So sad. He was a good guy.
If you ever need anything please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

A tragic loss such as this is hard to understand and harder yet to try to accept. My favourite feature of Ryan’s was his deep and thundering voice. I liked his booming baritone! To his family, words can never be enough to aptly capture the heartfelt sense sadness and utter grief. My deepest sympathies.
