We Remember
KNEESHAW, Christa Jean
—
August 5, 1980 – April 18, 2021
Christa Jean Kneeshaw passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2021, with her sister Bonny and loving partner Charlie at her side in Kelowna.
Christa was born in Calgary, AB, on August 5, 1980, and moved with her family to Saskatchewan, then Kamloops, BC where she finished high school and attended Thomson Rivers University. She completed her education in Calgary, and next lived in Winnipeg, MB, and finally settling in the Kelowna area.
Christa will always be remembered for her artistic abilities and skills. Even as a young child her artwork was astonishing. Her talents extended to all things creative, and to support this she attended the Fine Arts program at TRU in Kamloops and completed her Interior Design degree at Mount Royal College in Calgary. Anyone who knew Christa will miss the fun-loving, ambitious, determined, and independent woman that she was.
Christa is survived by her partner Charlie; her parents David Kneeshaw and Lee-Ann Donald; her step-father Neil Donald, and her siblings Bonny, John, and Jeremy.
Throughout Christa’s time of need she could rely on her family, particularly her sister Bonny whose loyalty never wavered, and her partner Charlie was truly a well of loving-kindness for her. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held when possible, and a Facebook page, “Christa Jean Kneeshaw – In Memorium” has been created in her honour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local food bank in Christa’s memory.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.

May time & love bring you peace
We were so sorry to hear of your loss of Christa. We remember well a camping trip our families made to Waterton, AB in 1992. Christa (then almost 12) with her artistic talents , sketched a Disney character for our daughter who was 5 at the time. She truly was a creative person, and she will be sadly missed.
