We Remember
KOLODYCHUK, William “Bill”
February 26, 1953 — October 4, 2023
William Joseph Alexander Kolodychuck, affectionately known as Bill, was born on February 26, 1953, in Kelowna, British Columbia. He peacefully passed away on October 4, 2023, in his beloved Kelowna, BC, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, camaraderie, and a strong work ethic.
Bill dedicated an impressive 43 years of his life to Canada Post, where he served his community with unwavering dedication and pride. During his tenure, Bill became an integral part of the Canada Post family, known for his reliability and commitment to delivering mail with a smile.
Outside of work, Bill had a passion for bringing people together. He had a knack for organizing memorable staff Christmas parties and delightful barbecues, creating cherished moments that his colleagues will forever treasure.
Bill was an accomplished musician. He had an immense passion for music, and his talents extended to playing the clarinet, piano, and accordion. Bill’s musical gifts were shared with the Kelowna community as he was a proud member of the Kelowna City Band.
But Bill’s talents extended beyond music; he was also a gifted gardener. His backyard was a botanical masterpiece, featuring a tranquil waterfall and pond, vibrant koi fish, and an abundance of colourful flowers and plants.
Bill is survived by his loving siblings, Anne Mary Prokopetz, Rose Joyce Steinman, Paul Kenny Vincent Kolodychuck, and their respective families. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, as a devoted brother, a loving uncle, a dedicated colleague, and a kind and generous soul.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bill’s memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to his generous and giving spirit.
