We Remember
KROPP, Alice
—
1937 – 2022
Alice Kropp, of Kelowna, BC, went home to be with the Lord on September 28, 2022, at the age of 84. Born to the late Anton & Berta Heise in Somsiory, West Prussia (Waldeck in German Times), Alice and her family left Somsiory in early 1946; they ended up in Germany’s Rechtern area, and Alice went to school in the city of Barnstorf. In 1955, she left Germany for Canada. A year later, she married Albert Kropp, and they lived in Vernon, BC for a few years. They then moved to Kamloops, BC, where they raised their children and then Alice & Albert retired to Kelowna, BC. Kelowna is also where all of Alice’s siblings are.
A busy lady, Alice was regularly involved with her church community, as well as with the German Club. She loved the YMCA, where she went to exercise 6 times a week. And, she really enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends.
Alice, who was generous, determined, caring, and hardworking, is going to be deeply missed. She leaves to this world her beloved family: her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Daryl Aiken; her son, Andrew Kropp; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica (Shane), Saidy, James, and Myles; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hailey; as well as her siblings, Lilli, Lydia, Alwin, Erika, Herbert, and Rosi; and her brothers- & sisters-in-law Reinhold, Brenda, Jack, Judi, and Paul. In 2017, Albert passed away, and we are sure he was waiting with open arms to welcome Alice home.
A Funeral Service, with Pastor David officiating, will be held to honour Alice on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2022, at 10:00 AM (PDT), at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1162 Hudson Road, West Kelowna, BC.

Dear Angie, Daryl and Andy,
Our heartfelt condolences on the death of your Mother. From Amy and Dave we had learned that Aunt Alice had cancer and we hope that she was allowed to leave this world peacefully and not be in too much pain.
We will always remember Aunt Alice as a very lively, energetic and positive thinking woman. We had a lot of fun during the visits (still together with Uncle Albert) here with us. She has always recognized the beautiful
in life and also accepted the fate imposed on her. We loved her very much and will miss her.
Our mother passed away four years ago and we can feel your pain well.
We wish you a lot of strength in this difficult time.
Love Johannes and Christine
