We Remember
LAWRIE, Dorothy Lucille
February 23, 1929 — June 4, 2024
It is with great sadness and a deep love that we announce the loss of Dorothy Lucille Lawrie, who passed away on June 4, 2024, at the age of 95.
Left to treasure her memory are her children, Bob, Judy (Robert), Gary (Gerry); grandchildren, Dallas (Michelle), Devon (Jordan), Cole, Chris, Brandon (Leslie), Mathew (Alicia), Christie (Mike), Ray; great-grandchildren, Jace, Hailey, Brooklyn, Mackenzie, Claudia, Dawson, Greyson, Scarlett, Thane, and Zayden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a vibrant woman who brought joy wherever she went. With a passion for gardening, she could often be found tending to her flowers with a smile on her face. Square dancing was another love of hers, and she would light up any dance floor with her vibrant energy. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore new places whenever she could, always eager to experience different cultures and landscapes. But beyond her hobbies, Dorothy had a lifelong commitment to the United Church. She was known for her kind heart and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Despite her mischievous streak, her warmth and generosity endeared her to all who knew her, making her a beloved figure in her community. She will be deeply missed.
Family and friends will each honour Dorothy in their own ways. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
