We Remember
LEACH, Sharon
December 4, 1951 — June 22, 2019
Sharon passed away peacefully at the age of 67 years on June 22, 2019, in Kelowna, BC. Sharon was born in Regina, SK on December 4, 1951. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth, her parents George and Pearl Geran, and brother Larry. Sharon will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Kevin (Darla); daughter, Karen (Dan); five grandchildren Hayden, Braeden, Ava, Brielle, Addison; brother Calvin (Melody); brother-in-law Robert (Betty Ann), and William (Lori); and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and very special friends.
Sharon was born in Regina and went on to work for the Leader Post as well as various departments within the Saskatchewan Provincial Government where she worked for many years. It was here that she met many wonderful people and made lifelong friendships that she was very grateful for.
Sharon will forever be remembered for her loving, nurturing ways toward family, friends and acquaintances alike. Behind all of her kindness and compassion there was a unique kind of bravery and resilience that truly was worthy of awe. Throughout her life she emphasized the importance of connection which was best demonstrated in her relationships with her five grandchildren for whom she devoted most of her time and attention. She had an incredible way of understanding people and never failed to anticipate or meet a need or want. She was a shoulder to cry on, a partner in crime, a jokester and a friend. She has left all of us with our cups full of love and for that we will be forever grateful.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Bobyn for his support, partnership, and compassionate care he provided over the years and in particular the last few months. Also, a special thanks to the wonderful IH Palliative Care team and the loving staff at the Kelowna Hospice House for the care and attention provided during a most difficult time for our family.
As per Sharon’s wishes there will not be a funeral service. In celebration of Sharon’s life and legacy she would like everyone to enjoy a wonderful meal with those you love and take the chance to say ‘I love you’ as often as you can.
