We Remember
LENNOX, Edward James
June 25, 1949 — December 14, 2024
It is with great love and sorrow that we announce the loss of Edward James Lennox, who passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at the age of 75.
Left to hold him dear to their hearts are those he loved most, including his wife of 50 years, Jennifer; children Olivia Lennox (Greg Vasegyi), Jamie (Katya) Lennox, and Sean Lennox; grandchildren Joseph, Jessica, and Ellie Mae Lennox; siblings Pauline Janes, Charlie (Diane) Lennox, and Linda (Richard) Dova Spah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family members. Edward now goes to join his parents Edward and Rhoda Lennox, who passed before him.
Edward was born on June 25, 1949, in Toronto, ON, as one of four children in a close-knit family. From a young age, he developed a passion for sports, excelling in both hockey and baseball, where his talent earned him awards and recognition. Edward spent the majority of his life in the Toronto area, where he built a successful career and a loving home. In 2004, he retired, embracing the opportunity to indulge in his favourite pastimes, particularly golf, where he enjoyed countless rounds as a proud member of his local club.
Edward’s love for activity extended beyond the golf course—he could often be found walking, hiking, or engaged in a lively game of ping pong, a passion so strong that he brought his ping pong table with him when he moved to Kelowna in 2022. Above all, Edward was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love for his family defined him. His caring and supportive nature left a true mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Edward will be eternally missed, but the memories of his warmth, humour, and kindness will continue to inspire those who loved him.
A Memorial Service in honour of Edward will be held in 2025. Details to be announced.
