We Remember

MAYOR, Sergey Neil

April 21, 2006 — February 6, 2025

It is with broken hearts and endless love that we announce the loss of our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Sergey Mayor, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 18.

Left to hold him dear to their hearts are his parents Pamela and Grant; brother Nicolai; Uncle Jay (Darcie) Trafananko; cousin Ryan Trafananko; Aunt Darla (Jim) McIntosh; cousin Erin McIntosh; Aunt Desta (Darren) Ortiz; and new puppy Kady.

Sergey now goes to join those who passed before him, including his maternal grandparents, Mildred and Dave Trafananko; paternal grandparents, Neil and Joan Mayor; and his beloved dog Kayla

Born on April 21, 2006, in Kazakhstan, Sergey was adopted with his brother Nicolai by Pamela and Grant, who gave them a loving home. He was a ball of energy, always lighting up any room he entered with his lively personality. Rambunctious and talkative, Sergey had a way of making friends easily. He loved being outdoors and was passionate about fishing. Fishing and being on or near the water was his happy place. Sergey loved many sports from skiing, skateboarding, tennis, mountain biking, basketball, and rugby. Sergey enjoyed many fun family holidays, his favourate being Osooyos where he got to fish all day.

Sergey had a great sense of humour, inquisitive mind and a memory for details.  His sudden passing was devastating, and he will be missed deeply. His energy, humour, and presence are irreplaceable.

A special thank you to those who supported Sergey over his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 5, 2025. Details will be announced closer to the date.
