MERRICK, Richard Patrick Timothy “Tim”
January 14, 1960 — June 26, 2020
Tim was born in Watrous, SK on January 14, 1960; home was a short drive away at Manitou Beach. After a lengthy and brave battle with illness, Tim passed away at his home in West Kelowna, BC on June 26, 2020. He was predeceased by his parents John Harry Merrick and Shirley Anne Elizabeth Ernst. Tim is survived by five children: Patrick, Jesse, Zackery, Torra, and Josi. He also leaves behind ten siblings: Jordin, Jennifer, Leslie, Noreen, Trevor, Courtney, Monty, Jordin Jr., Clinton, and Samuel; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Tim’s career took a number of paths: a professional chef working high-end restaurants, including his own; a carpenter; and a truck driver. He was also an avid gardener and certified Gung Fu martial artist. He loved AC DC, Elvis Presley, and horses.
Tim was a valued volunteer of the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank – West Kelowna, cofoodbank.com, donations may be made there in his memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 11:00 am, at 20 – 2355 Marshall Road, West Kelowna, BC.

It’s with a heavy sadness and a promise not forflled to hear about the loss of a brother I never got to know. I send you all strong hugs from a saddened heart. Deeply sorry for the loss in more ways than I can ever say.
My brother, my life long friend, how I will miss your earthly presence in my life. But knowing you are now free from all your turmoil and pain allows me peace
it is with greatess sadness that I have to say goodbye to my one true friend. We had many great times. You were a great big part of me. I will always cherish the times we had and wish with all my heart I could be there at this time. Farewell my friend and good journeys to you. With all my love. I’ll miss you forever.
