Miller, A. Les
January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970
Passed away at Kelowna General Hospital on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the age of 91. Survived by his loving wife Phyl of 64 years, his sons Keith (Donna) of Salmon Arm, Ron of Vancouver, grandchildren Les Miller (fiancée Sarah) and Rebecca Miller and numerous nieces and nephews. Les and two of his brothers enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1939 and served in the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders for six years in Europe. Following the war he moved from Manitoba to British Columbia where he met and married the love of his life, Phyl. He was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1T2.

Phil: Many, many years since we visited Uncle Les & you in your motor home on the “Hill” in Ottawa. Our condolences from Winnipeg.
Aunt Phil & Boys,
We will miss uncle les, we were so happy to have our summer together a few years ago, loved listening to all his stories and phil you still cook a fine dinner.
we sure enjoyed ourselves when we visited with raymond and missy , theyve grown alot since then, and my raymond isnt
very well not going to last much longer but bad little missy still a little bugger.
anyway we will all be thinking of you tommorrow .

Dearest Phyl,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I will always remember the half whole milk half 2% glass at dinner time. If there was any person that loved life, and liked to tease, it was Les!
I will call you in a couple weeks so we can do lunch.
