We Remember

MOEN, Donna Marie

January 4, 1952 — January 10, 2025

It is with profound love and immense sadness that we say goodbye to Donna Marie Moen, who passed away on January 10, 2025, with her loving and devoted sisters Shirley Larmand, Marilyn Shaman, and Colleen Landon by her side.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband, Rod Moen; sons Jason (Dixie) and Ryan; daughter Chantelle (Rick); stepson Michael; and grandchildren Jordan, Travis, Bradley, Brooke, Chelbie, Chloe, Keynia, and Antin. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, great-nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Born in Brooks, Alberta, Donna moved with her family to Fort St. John at a young age. It was there she met and married Swede Taylor, with whom she raised three wonderful children. Later, she found love again in Kelowna, British Columbia, where she married Rod Moen and made her home in the area since the 1980s.

Donna’s early years were filled with adventure and joy, as she loved tobogganing, ski-doing, and skating, always embracing the fun side of life. Over the years, she became an exceptional cook, delighting everyone with her meals, and her artistic talents shone through in her crafts. Whether knitting, cross-stitching, sewing, or painting, Donna’s hands created beauty in everything she touched, and her work will forever be admired.

Though Donna will be deeply missed, her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared with all who knew her will never be forgotten. She lives on in our hearts forever.

Family and friends will each honour Donna in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
