We Remember
MUELLER, Adele “Heidi” (née Zellmer)
February 8, 1937 — April 16, 2023
Adele “Heidi” Mueller, age 86, passed away on April 16, 2023 after a brief illness. Born on February 8, 1937, she immigrated to Canada from Germany with her family in 1951. While on the voyage, she met her future husband, Fritz. Adele and Fritz were married for 64 years until Fritz passed away in March 2020.
Adele is survived by her loving son, Fritz Werner and his partner Robert Voigt; her sisters Hildegard and Irmgard (Paul); sisters- and brothers-in-law Konnie & Martha Horn, Eric & Jackie Mueller, and Ella Mueller; and many nieces & nephews and friends.
A diligent homemaker, Adele was so very proud of the home built by her husband. She loved flowers, nature and all its many creatures, and she especially enjoyed the many camping and fishing trips over the years with her husband, family, and friends. She mastered petit-point and needlework and made the best Topfkuchen.
Adele will be remembered by all for her kindness, gentleness, and caring ways – always with a positive attitude.
We are fortunate to have had her in our lives and will cherish our memories.
A Celebration of her life will be held later this year.

Heidi was a good friend to my mom Martha and our family, as we grew up in Glenmore. I will remember Heidi as a warm, friendly woman who was there for her friends and family. I am sad for your loss Fritz . ..Liz (Erbacher) Dandeneault
Tante Heidi,
You will forever be remembered as a beautiful, kind and gentle Soul. May you be at peace now and reunited with Uncle Fritz, Oma and Opa Zellmer.
You will be greatly missed by those who love you, especially your sister Hildegard 💕
XOXO
Fritz. I am sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. She was always so friendly and welcoming to me whenever I visited your house after school. And she always had a very tasty treat for us! She was always smiling and upbeat – that is what I remember most. She was full of positive energy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hi Fritz,
Tante Adele was soft spoken with a gentle soul. She had a smile for all. I admired her natural sense of style and grace. I always had a good time at your home in Brent Place, fits of laughter and visiting with your Mom. My Mom (Tante Ella) and our family send our thoughts and prayers.
On behalf of the Wiebe family from Vernon BC I would like to send my heartfelt condolences. My parents John and Val met Fritz and Adele in Kelowna in the early 50’s and became fast friends. They had much in common; especially the fact that my parents also met on the ship when they immigrated from Germany to Canada in 1947. Big hugs to Fritz and family. She will be missed <3
This lovely lady was a patient. She was so kind and caring . She seemed like a beautiful person ☺️
Fritz, our sincere condolences from the family of Adolf and Herta Holland. Tante Adele and Onkel Fritz always welcomed us with gracious hospitality and food, food, food. My parents especially enjoyed visiting, when they shared stories with your extended family about the good, and bad, old times.
Your mother was so proud of you, your accomplishments, your steadfast relationship with Bob, and also thankful that she wasn’t alone because you and Bob were close by. Taking care of a loved one can indeed be taxing, but it is our privilege to spend precious time together.
