We Remember

PAETZ, Margo
November 14, 1938 — March 12, 2025
It is with great love and admiration that we announce the loss of Margo Paetz, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 86.
Left to hold her dear to their hearts are those she loved most, including her son Ralph; sisters Maureen, Kathy, and Dawna; great-grandchildren Phoenix, Carl James (CJ), Savanah and Kaitlin; and many friends whose lives she touched in her time here.
Margo now goes to join her parents; husband Jim; brothers Danny and Terry; her beloved daughters Ramona, Leiloni, Juanita, and Naomi; sister Lyla; and granddaughters Angela and Corey.
Margo was born in Cereal, Alberta and raised on the farm in Chinook, Alberta, where she developed a deep love for music, horses, and the joy of life. She eventually moved to California with her husband, embracing new adventures until his passing. With strength and resilience, she returned to Canada to be with her sister, Maureen, cherishing the comfort of family and the familiar landscapes she had always loved. Margo had a love for life and a heart full of laughter, always seeking out fun and joy in the simplest moments. Whether it was the twang of a country song, the grace of an Arabian horse, or the thrill of uncovering a new piece of family history through genealogy, she found beauty and wonder in the world around her.
Her unfaltering faith kept her grounded through life’s ups and downs, giving her the strength to embrace every day with gratitude and kindness. She wished for those she left behind to celebrate life as she did—with music, laughter, and no tears. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Margo’s legacy is one of joy, resilience, and an enduring reminder to find happiness in the little things. She wants us all to know “Keep it simple, keep the Faith, Soul is eternal, Love one another.”
In honour of Margo, memorial donations may be sent to The Salvation Army.
