We Remember
PARR, Joan
—
Joan Parr died peacefully on December 31st 2017 at Kelowna General Hospital. Born February 27th 1931 in Darlington County Durham. Joan is survived by her sons, Stephen (Judy), Chris (Angela), daughter Sue Wellspring (Larry), grandchildren Michael and Samantha Parr and Sage Wellspring as well as her little dog, Bella. She was predeceased by her husband, H.V. (Tom) Parr in 2007. Joan was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion #26 Kelowna. She lived a life full of adventure and her passion for it inspired us all. Whether on her many trips to Mexico, or summers spent at Beaver Lake, she was always surrounded by friends. Her endearing spirit and tender heart have enriched our lives forever. Joan was a woman of faith and one who was not afraid of what changes lay ahead. May we find comfort in this, as this most recent change returned her back to Tom, the man whom she truly loved and whom she created her beautiful life with. She left our hands, only to hold Tom’s once again. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 5th at 4:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, Kelowna BC. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan Parr to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation – ICU would be appreciated. “Go in peace Joan, thou good and faithful servant”. Our Deepest Sympathy from all of us in North Bay,,,
I look back on those years when you lived in North Bay, as all us kids were growing up, with the fondest memories. Your mom definitely played a role in the shaping of who we all are today.
She will be missed.

So sorry for your loss of your mom (grandma) Sue. She was a amazing lady. Our thoughts and prays to you and your family
Our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother and our friend. Joan and Tom were instrumental in the incorporation of the Rutland Residents Association in Jan. 1994. They convinced me to join, and I am still there. They helped to bring possessive change to Rutland. Tom was also a wonderful Santa Clause. Joan was always a great source of inspiration. Both are missed and are remembered with respect and gratitude.
You will be missed deeply. You are now my angel to guard over me. You have the
love of your life standing next you forever. I love you Mom and I miss you more than ever.
Sue Wellspring
