We Remember
PERROT, Frieda
April 27, 1928 — July 9, 2024
Frieda Catherine Perrot was born on April 27, 1928, in Killaley, Saskatchewan, and passed away July 9, 2024, surrounded by her family.
When Frieda was a child, her parents moved out west and settled in Kelowna, BC. Frieda worked in the McLean & Fitzpatric packing house until she began raising her family.
She was an avid 5 pin bowler and won numerous awards and trophies. She even bowled in a league until well into her 80s! She also loved Hawaiian and old-time dancing, and throughout the years, has loved bingo, casino, and card/board games.
Frieda had a love for travelling and was fortunate to travel to California, Nevada, Washington, Hawaii, and went on an Alaskan cruise.
Above all else, family was very important to her. She lit up a room with her laughter and will be held in the hearts of all whose lives she touched.
Frieda is survived by her children, Sharon, Carol (Tom), Dianne (David); grandchildren Jason, Colin (Cassie), Mandy (Joe), Ryan (Laurie); great-grandchildren Kayla (Tyler), Holden, Lauralei (Andrew), Blake, Callie, Katie, Hailey, Caleesa, Isaac, Natalee, Evan, Alyssa; great-great-grandchild Elizabeth; and also her sisters Elizabeth and Eva. She was predeceased by her husband, Romeo Gerald “Gerry”.
Special thanks to the staff at the Village at Mill Creek who cared for her for almost 2 years. Frieda enjoyed bingo and looked forward to the weekly Happy Hours. Her favourite was always Vic and the Old Time Fiddlers.
A private family service will be held in honour of Frieda. She will be dearly missed.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Auntie Frieda. I have such fond memories of my parents visiting Kelowna and how happy they were when they returned home. It was such an adventure for them. As a child, our family always appreciated that Auntie Frieda and Uncle Romeo would take the time to send us beautiful fruit from B.C. Though they lived far away, we always felt they were part of our family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I had the honor of being seated beside Frieda at every Happy Hour at Hawthorne, before Covid. We had a lot of laughs. She loved to dance. She liked my Tiramisu. Rest in Peace Frieda.
