On Wednesday, February 7th, 2018, Reverend George Pfliger passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years.
Father George will be lovingly remembered by his sister Kay (Joe) Schneider, sister-in-law Helen Pfliger, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother priests and the faithful of the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Nelson where he served.
A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm, on Thursday, February 15th; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, on Friday, February 16th, both at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1077 Fuller Ave, Kelowna. Interment will follow at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Donations in loving memory of Father George, may be made to the Servant Fund – Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Nelson (envelopes will be available at the church) or may be mailed to the Catholic Diocese of Nelson, 3665 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, B.C, V1W-4M7
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
And let the perpetual light shine upon him.

Will miss Uncle George. He was a great person to so many. Always had a chuckle when I called him Frier Tuck.
Father George ( Uncle George ) will be sorely missed by all. But his legacy of advice, quick smile, teasing and good times will live on in all of us. God Bless You Uncle George

My prayers go out to Fr.George’s family. I worked with Fr. George when he was our priest in Osoyoos. Fr. George was absolutely wonderful with all especially the kids. We all loved him. I shall cherish the memories. He especially was great with special needs people. Very happy & loving person. God bless. Hazel
