PHILPOTT, Ernest John
November 17, 1953 — September 21, 2023
Sadly, we announce that on Thursday, September 21, 2023, Ernie Philpott, a lifelong Kelowna, BC resident, passed away. Ernie was a hard-working logger, dedicated father, papa, and friend. He lived life to the fullest. He followed a “work hard, play hard, and live fast” lifestyle.
Ernie is reunited with his kid brother, Chuck Philpott; his sister, Janet; and his parents, Charlie & Betty, who predeceased him. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, whom he loved dearly, Shayin Philpott, as well as his beloved granddaughter, Paisley Philpott. He is also survived by siblings Ralph (Kay) Philpott, Carol-Lea Philpott, Joan Philpott, and Anne (Bob) Howell, along with his wonderful nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our cousin Ernie. We didn’t always see him a lot, but knew he was right up the road if we needed help. We will miss him. With Love, Karen and Pete Ouwendyk.

I’m sending you this message to say I’m so sorry for your loss. I was raised very close to you the Philpott Family for many years.
Ernie passed away on my Birthday.
Additionally, I lived with my family close to your family for many years.
I knew Ernie since I was a kid up to and including JUNE of 2000 when I moved to Alberta..
He was a extremely hard worker and a awesome man.
Again, Im sending you my condolences to your family and friends who knew Ernie.
