Passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at the age of 81 years. Survived by his loving wife Marion; his mother Mary Picklyk, 101 years of age; daughter Lisa Jolley and husband Graham; son Brent Picklyk; grandchildren: Cort and Hailey Jolley, Sean Carroll, Brennan, Alexander and Kaden Picklyk, all from Kelowna; his sisters: Rose Bellman and husband Gerry O’Connor of Nelson, Christine Cordocedo and Russell Cordocedo of Kelowna; and sister-in-law Joanne Picklyk of Kelowna. Predeceased by son Darren (1968 – 2006), brother Gerald Picklyk (1943 – 2009). In addition, he will be sadly missed by his cousins and best friends: Ron Tokaryk; John, Wally and Rick Zayonce. He looks forward to coffee in Heaven with these bad boys. Also, we know he will be missed by his Nolin in-laws, and many nephews and nieces…. not to mention life-long friends. You know who you are! Peter had many talents and many careers in his life. He retired from Western Star Truck in 1999. Marion and Peter were married for 56 years. They married in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Marion met Peter by attending dances and eventually became a groupie of the Mad Katz band, and soon after fell in love and married him. Peter loved bowling. He also loved getting together with friends and family to play cards. We all remember how patient and expressive he was when he played games. His true passion was playing guitar and painting. These hobbies kept him busy through his work and retired life. We all are especially grateful he painted as he will be forever remembered when we admire his art. We will forever miss his great stories and the awesome way he ruined jokes, but still laughed his butt off after he gave a bad punch line. That’s commitment. LOVE YOU PETE! xoxoxo, Family and Friends….You can rest now! A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Yes, Peter did indeed loved bowling at Capri Lanes which is where I knew him for many years. I was glad to notice that someone wrote that as I believe it was a true joy in his life. A special condolence to his sister Rose, my deepest sympathies to you.
Dear Family of Peter,
I’m sorry that you are experiencing the mourning of losing a love one. Many if not all of us has experienced this, but I would like to share a brief scripture that will may just bring you comfort.
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time . Peter will be remembered for his kindness and helpfulness . We are also saddened of the news .
I know Peter and Marion through CIBC. I went to visit Peter and Marion when they purchased their new home in Glenmore up on the hill. Peter took his painting right off the diningroom wall to give to me as a ‘thank you’. That painting hangs in my bedroom and I think about the Picklys and Jolleys every day before going to bed. I am sad to hear about Peter’s passing but his personality and generousity will never be forgotten. I am sorry I did not read the notice sooner or I would have attended Peter’s service. Marion and the Jolley family, you do have my deepest sympathy.
I’m sorry to hear of your loss Lisa, it’s never easy losing a parent. My thoughts are with you and Graham, and your family. xoxo Karen
I had known Pete since early 1970’s. Had many practices at Pete’s parents house with the Madkatz. Pete was a wonderful person and a fun loving, talented, good all around friend.
