I’m sad to hear of Bob’s passing. He was a great guy. As a kid growing up in Oyama I saw him around the community and at all the big events. When I went to high school I had to call him Mr. Pretty because he was our bus driver. Later in life I called him Chief because as a member of LCFD Station 91 he was our leader. Such a loss to the community, friends and his family. You will will be missed Bob may you Rest In Peace.

Very saddened to hear of this loss. Mr Prettie was my neighbour growing up as a child, my bus driver and also my teacher. He and Mrs Prettie taught me to okay the guitar and I have many fond memories playing at their home. As an adult, I bumped into Mr Prettie at JRFD 52, as he was there delivering students on a field trip (my husband teaches EMR and does a trip with each class to the hall), I was on maternity leave and got to take my oldest son on a school bus for the first time. Owen thought it was so neat that the driver had been my school bus driver when I was a kid. Mr Prettie will be very missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.
Bob and I shared many adventures over the years. I will miss his warm heart, incredible sense of humour and dedication to the community. Miss you Bob, you were a true friend!
Thanks Andy, that’s a such a good picture too.
So sad to hear of Bobs passing. He was the kindest, most generous person we’ve known. He will truly be missed.
Very sad to hear and sending good thoughts to Bobs family and friends. Mr Prettie drove the school bus for all of my years at Oyama Elementary School. Bob got all of us there safely and was always a positive figure in the community. Bob even picked us up hitchhiking on a number of occasions which was very much appreciated being out in Oyama country.
Sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. The teachers in Oyama appreciated his dedicated service and kind, gentle nature. We have great memories of Bob behind the wheel of the school bus and will miss him in the Community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.
